LAKE OCONEE — Halcyon Hospice is looking for volunteers to provide companionship and socialization to terminally ill patients and their caregivers. There is something for everyone’s talents, time and abilities. Volunteer opportunities include, but are not limited to: playing music, reading, crafts and clerical support. Back by popular demand, it’s John Berry. The Chamber is proud to once again host John Berry’s Christmas concert in downtown Greensboro. This year the Christmas with John Berry concert will be presented on Sunday, Dec. 2 at 4:30 p.m. at Festival Hall. This annual fundraising event will be sponsored by BankSouth, Georgia Power, AT&T and The Farmers Bank. Tickets are on sale at the Greene County Chamber office at 111 N. STMA and The Plaza Arts Center in Eatonton present “Mothers and Children: Beyond Sentiment.” This show features a collection of paintings depicting the theme of mother and child. The show is located at The Plaza Arts Center, 305 N. Madison Ave., Eatonton.

 Nov. through Feb.

Reynolds Plantation has opened their seasonal ice skating rink. Access to the rink is complimentary for resort guests, $40 per four-hour session for adults, $30 per four-hour session per child (12 and under). The prince includes a skate rental.

 Nov. through March

STMA, 4200 Bethany Road, Buckhead, will present “Steffen Thomas Prints and Printmaking.” The exhibit contains Steffen Thomas’ hand pulled prints, printmaking plates and tools. For more information, call (706) 342-7557.

 Nov. 26 through Dec. 31

The Broughton Artists’ Market will be held at 125 W. Jefferson St. in Madison.. Discover locally-made arts and crafts. The market is open Thursday through Sunday 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. There will be a Grand Opening Soiree on Dec. 1 at 7 p.m.

 Nov. 30

The Potted Geranium Tea Parlor will host Christmas Tea from 3 to 5 p.m. There will be a holiday menu that includes miniature pastries, finger sandwiches and currant scones. Reservations are required and seating is limited. The cost of Christmas Tea is $42.50. For more information, contact (706) 453-4979.
