Library ‘friends’ brave cold night for meeting

GREENSBORO — Members and supporters of the Friends of the Greene County Library didn't let a cold wintry night keep them from attending the groups 20th Annual Dinner/Meeting at the First United Methodist Church Family Life Center in Greensboro.

Gillian Switala welcomed members and guests and introduced Mildred Stiffler, Chairman of the Nominating Committee, who announced the names of the officers for 2011.  They are: Gillian Switala, President, Mary Lou Noonan, First Vice President, Kathleen Mayers, Second Vice President, Peggy Uehlin, Secretary, Anita McCoy Treasurer and Mildred Stiffler and MaggieDunn, Directors.  

Cliff Sanders, Chairman of the Board of Trustees, gave an update on the expansion and renovation to the library. He said that even with the inclement weather we've been having, work is progressing on target and hopefully will be completed in April.

Musician, Brad Rudisail, gifted pianist and keyboard artist entertained with a medley of all time favorites - even had the audience join in a sing along.  Mr. Rudisail is well known in the area as a frequent columnist in local newspapers, a piano teacher and as the

Music Director at the Lake Oconee Lutheran Church.
