EATONTON — Cuscowilla on Lake Oconee recently hosted the 2016 Lake Oconee Challenge event on August 24, 2016. This annual event consists of three teams from Cuscowilla, Harbor Club, and Reynolds and is held every year on rotation at each of the three competing clubs.
This year was Cuscowilla’s turn to host the 55 players from the Ladies Golf Associations at each of the clubs. The day started off with a 9 o’clock shotgun with the Stableford team average scoring system followed by lunch at the newly reopened Waterside Restaurant. At the end of the day, the home team, Cuscowilla, came away victorious.
Cuscowilla on Lake Oconee is a private, gated community featuring a Coore/Crenshaw designed course. The 18 holes of golf is set among a natural, serene setting along the beautiful shores of Lake Oconee with a laid-back lifestyle of members that would want to make anyone choose Cuscowilla as their ‘place on the lake.’ Memberships are available, and for more information, visit www.cuscowilla.com or call 706-484-0050.
