Mills and Baker

For the second month in a row Riezl Baker and Jere Mills have earned their designation as Sales Team of the Month for Reynolds Plantation Properties. The duo collectively sold over $1.6 million last month and earned them top honors for July. Together, Baker and Mills have 34 years of combined experience in selling real estate at Reynolds Plantation and were recently named Sales Team of the Year for Reynolds Plantation in 2013.

“Riezl and Jere’s longevity as sales executives is one of the reasons for their continued success,” said Lee Arberg, senior vice president of sales at Reynolds Plantation Properties. “They are ‘experts”’ when it comes to Reynolds Plantation. They are knowledgeable about the property inventory, the membership structure and the amenities we have here.”

Baker has 15 years in real estate and has enjoyed every minute of it since touring her first couple on property in 1999. “They were a couple from Atlanta who were retiring in five years,” says Baker. “They were very social people and purchased a golf course property within walking distance from the clubhouse.”

As a property owner herself, Baker and her husband, Ted, enjoy all the positive features of Reynolds Plantation on a regular basis.

“I don’t think there are many places where you can exercise and enjoy the water quite like this,” she said. “The Lake Club offers state-of-the-art equipment, as well as breathtaking views of the lake.”

Baker’s children, Stu (age 11) and Remi (age 8) attend Lake Oconee Academy, and love the tennis clinics, the game room and of course the waterslide within the community.

“There’s something for everyone here and we love seeing other club members and meeting their families and friends,” said Baker.

For Jere, his very first sale was 19 years ago to a couple from Hilton Head who purchased a lakefront property at Reynolds Plantation.

“They fell in love with the natural beauty of the lake,” Mills added. Jere himself fell in love with the variety of golf when he and wife, Bebe first came across Reynolds years ago. It was one of the reasons they made their move here from Atlanta.

“There are six equally beautiful golf courses, so you can play a different course every day of the week,” said Mills.

He and his wife also enjoy the many social golf events that the club hosts regularly.

“My wife was a past president of the Ladies Nine Holers Club and we participate in Couples tournament whenever we can.”

Riezl and Jere both agree that “service “ is key and this goes not only to new clients but to clients you’ve helped in the past. “You wear many hats as a realtor,” said Baker. “You are a buyer’s agent; an analyst, a marketer, a business manager and a negotiator. You also need a good understanding of the marketplace.”

Both Riezl and Jere have developed a vast network of contacts in the community and stay actively involved, participating in various charity events. “It is important to give back to the community,” said Baker. “It shows your commitment to the area.”

As the community continues to evolve, Baker and Mills look forward to playing their roles as ambassadors and helping others to discover this special place they’ve come to call home.
