Elks donation

Lake Oconee Elks bought clothing to be delivered to the Georgia War Veterans Home in November. Milledgeville Belk Manager, Latasha Johnson was extremely helpful to the Elks in choosing clothing for the Veterans and also gave them a very nice discount.

Thank you to Belk for supporting the veterans.

The Lake Oconee Elks have received an Impact Grant from the Elks National Foundation for the past three years to be able to take the veterans at the home out to lunch and to museums or have cookouts at the home for the Vets.

This year, the veterans home has been in quarantine since the pandemic began in March, so the Elks have not been allowed to take the veterans out anywhere or come into the home for any events. The veteran's committee thought it would be nice to shop for some clothing that they would like. The vets were given a sheet to choose clothing from along with their sizes. The Elks certainly hope this will brighten their day and can't wait for this pandemic to end so the veterans will once again be able to get out and visit other places and enjoy time with the Elks.
