Barb Dikeman and Steve Weiser will be representing Greene County Toastmasters in the Toastmasters Area 52 Speech Competition on Saturday, Feb. 16. Weiser will be competing in the International Speech Contest, and Dikeman in the Humorous Speech Contest. Winners of the Area Contest will proceed to the Division level of competition.
The Area contest will take place at 1 p.m. in the Hamp Walker Club Room of River Place Condominiums, at One 7th St., No. 500, in Augusta, and is open to the public. Toastmasters is a ‘Learn by doing’ organization open to anyone over 18 who is interested in improving his or her speaking and leadership skills. Greene County Toastmasters meets at 6 p.m. on the second and fourth Tuesdays of the month in the Fellowship Hall of the First Presbyterian Church, 101 W. S. St., in Greensboro.
