The Knights of Columbus Council 13808 from Christ Our King and Savior Catholic Church in Greensboro partnered with the St. Vincent DePaul Society to sponsor a food drive to help the Greene County Food Pantry during the Covid-19 pandemic. The drive was held on April 10. The Knights provided the pick-up trucks and trailer for the food collection, Publix supplied 60 banana and apple boxes for packing the donated food products. Food was collected from 8 a.m. to 11 a.m. More than 2,000 pounds of food product was delivered to the food pantry. The director of the food pantry stated that this was largest amount of donated food they have received since the beginning of the pandemic.
