On Saturday, Dec. 5, the Lake Oconee Elks Lodge held its second Turkey Shoot of the year at the Old Hudson Plantation. As always every year, kids up to 17 years old shoot for free to try and win themselves a turkey or ham. The kids also get a free lunch. The proceeds from the lodge's two turkey shoots goes to support the Elk's community service projects such as scholarships, dictionary and veterans programs. Pictured are some of the kids that came out to try their luck at winning a turkey by shooting closest to the bullseye on the targets. It was a fun day for the adults as well as the kids.
