State Rep. Mickey Channell of the Georgia House District 116 recently addressed the members of the Greene and Putnam Rotary Club. Representative Channel is a founding member of the Greene County Rotary Club and currently holds an honorary membership in Greene and Putnam Rotary Club. Representative Channel was sworn in Jan. 11, 1993, and has served 17 years in the Georgia House of Representatives. He is proud to be representing Greene County, and parts of Oglethorpe, Putnam and Wilkes counties. Representative Channell was instrumental in authoring the PeachCare for Kids legislation in order to provide affordable health care for more than 200,000 Georgia families.
