Reynolds Lake Oconee is pleased to announce that Eatonton local and Sandy Creek Sporting Grounds Chief Instructor Jasper Copelan was named the State Champion of the 2020 Georgia State Sporting Clays Championship on Sunday, June 21 at the Meadows Gun Club in Forsyth, Ga. 

Local Elks Lodge Lake Oconee No. 2849 will celebrate Flag Day on June 14, along with the more than 1,900 other Elks Lodges in the Nation. The Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks is the only fraternal organization to require a formal observance of Flag Day.

The guides at Sandy Creek Sporting Grounds not only know the world-class shooting sports playground at Reynolds Lake Oconee inside-out, but after completing an intensive, two-day National Sporting Clays Association (NSCA) Recreational Instructor Course with flying colors, six guides earned their certification.
